The Goal – Over time, rather than leaving this website strictly a vanity site, I have elected to use it to provide three main foci, a place to provide information about me and my music, yes, but further, and considerably beyond the concept of self, a place where you will find and enjoy some musically based entertainment and primarily as a resource of and about music in general, i.e. music history, information about music law and copyrights, the creative process, systems and the structures used in making music, theory, melody, harmony, music composition, the instruments of music, the instruments for making music, Composers and Composer resources, etc.

The Plan – As one would guess, making music is a creative process. There are many tools to learn about and then to effectively apply in order to create a masterpiece.  The same is true about creating a Web Presence that is respected for what it stands for and for what it offers it’s visitors. It is my plan to develop this site so as to provide, at a minimum, the basics of the tools used in making music and some understanding of how to use those tools. Through the use of real world examples, historically successful models, hopefully, I will be able to instill in you some knowledge of the techniques involved in making music. At the same time this site will provide many examples and performances of beautiful music for inspiration and for you to enjoy.

No web site can replace the effective abilities and skills of a real life  Teacher. I highly recommend that you seek the best you can afford and if you are in a position where there are limited resources, maybe this site and others this site points to can assist you in the short term of finding one. In the least, maybe this site can inspire you to move forward in your own efforts to create music.

Help! – I hope this blog will catch on and maybe, other Composer/Teacher types far more knowledgeable and capable than me will chime in and contribute their master skills.  I could use some help in providing the vast knowledge a blog such as this could offer the general public.  If it does become what it has potential to be, then along the way I will split off my own music information leaving the greater contributions and continue to develop this blog further. Maybe it can grow to be of great value and inspiration to others in their own efforts in creating music.

Again, come on in. You are Welcome!

PS – For me and at this point, this blog is a labor of love. If you would like to contribute as a writer, please feel free to contact me. I would be honored to have you aboard. I know, that I do not know a lot of things about music or creating music. That’s where you come in. Let me know if you want to participate. Thanks!
